7/21/2008 -- Saying goodbye

If there is one thing I dislike about life ... it's saying goodbye. But that time must always come and that time is here for me and Triangle East.

Friday, July 25, will be my last day as editor of Triangle East. I have loved every page of TEM for the last three years and will miss it dearly.

I started my goodbye week by saying adios to Stuart ... our wonderful UPS delivery man. He shook my hand and wished me well and I could feel my eyes filling with tears.

I told you ... goodbyes really get to me.

7/9/2008 -- A hospital no more ...

Johnston Memorial Hospital has changed its name. It is now ... Johnston Medical Center - Smithfield.
And when the new branch of the hospital opens in Clayton, it will be called ... Johnston Medical Center - Clayton.
FYI.

7/9/2008 -- Summer Savings

Check out the Johnston County Visitors Bureau Web site at www.johnstoncountync.org for a link to some excellent summer coupons.
Once you are on the site, look for a colorful logo that says Summer Savings and click nearby to be taken to deals like $5 off a whole country ham at Johnston County Hams, a free admission to the Ava Gardner Museum (with the purchase of one admission) and more. Check back often for updated deals.
