McLean's Ole Time Café
Dena Boyette Coward

April Hagwood fondly recalls washing the dishes and running the register in her father's restaurant when she was 10. She wasn't alone — her brother William and sister Pam were by her side, doing whatever needed to be done to feed the masses.
"My brother William was literally raised in a restaurant booth. We all just grew up around it," said Hagwood.
They watched as their dad scrimped, saved and molded the Zebulon institution.
Today, McLean's Ole Time Café is a destination spot. People drive from Raleigh and Cary to savor the Sisco chicken and meatloaf that their dad, Mac McLean, perfected.
